Every year the American Tree Farm System recognizes exceptional American Tree Farm System inspectors. Carlton resident and forester Jan Bernu was recognized as the ATFS Outstanding Inspector of the Year award, after also being awarded the 2023 Midwest Regional Inspector of the Year at the ATFS national conference in Alabama in January.
