Cloquet makes big plans for the Fourth

While the Cloquet Fourth of July festivities will include all the crowd favorites — 5K race, parade, pie eating contest, music, wiffleball, bouncy castles, buried treasure, fireworks and more — some different elements have been added to this year’s list of activities.

New this year is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Pinehurst Park, organized by Cloquet High School alumnus Paul Cameron.

Cameron said he and his friend Jackson Nemmers came up with the idea, in part because the courts at Pinehurst are the “premier courts in the Northland,” he said.
