Volunteer Services now has delivery

April 10, 2020

Volunteer Services of Carlton County is offering a new Groceries-To-Go service.

The service is different from the Age Well Arrowhead service. Both non-profit services are serving older adults (over age 60) and are partnering with the Super One Foods store in Cloquet.

Volunteer Services director Jill Hatfield said the non-profit organization in Carlton is starting the program because the need is high here and will only get higher as the coronavirus infection rates increase locally. They can also deliver pharmacy orders if needed. Volunteer Services will help each customer set up an account with the Cloquet Super One store.

To order from Volunteer Services, call 218-879-9238 between 8 a.m. and noon Wednesdays to place your order. Be as specific as possible, including brand, size, amount and quantities.

Volunteers shop on Thursday mornings, and may call between 8 and 9 a.m. with questions about your order.

There is a suggested donation of $10 a month to the Groceries-To-Go program, but no one will be turned away if they don't donate, according to Hatfield.

To enroll in the Age Well Arrowhead program, call 218-623-7800 or visit agewellarrowhead.org to register first.
