Frandsen hires new Cloquet bank president

Mark Lanigan has been named Bank President of the Frandsen Bank & Trust Cloquet office, effective Aug. 12.

Lanigan, a native of Waterloo, Iowa has more than 30 years of banking experience, the last 19 years in the Duluth, Minnesota market. Prior to joining Frandsen, he spent 18 years with Republic Bank as a vice president/commercial banker. More recently, he served as a senior vice president/commercial banker for Bell Bank.

"We're excited to welcome Mark to Frandsen Bank and the Cloquet community; he will be an asset to both. Leading the Cloquet office is a natural next step for someone with Mark's extensive banking background," said Mike Gay, Frandsen executive vice president and regional manager.

Lanigan said he was truly excited to help Cloquet-area residents and businesses succeed.

"Mike has assembled a great team in Cloquet and I can't wait to work with them," he added.

Lanigan has a bachelor of science degree in business administration and public relations from Northern Michigan University. He and his wife, Linda, live in Duluth and have three kids. In his free time Mark enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, golfing, curling, and hockey.
