Letter to the editor: Spend Covid checks locally

I welcome the American Rescue Plan. People who need the $1,400 will spend their checks locally on essentials like overdue bills and food. I encourage those of us who don’t really need the money to recharge our local economy by spending our checks at our favorite local businesses. Frankly, online businesses are doing just fine.
