Letter to The Editor: Time to ditch Social Security tax

With a $7 billion-plus surplus, perhaps it is time to eliminate the Social Security income tax on retired Minnesota seniors. As a Retired Fire Service member I receive minimal Social Security due to the pension offset. Eliminating this tax is the right thing to do.
