Top two advance in FDL primary

April 15, 2022

Two challengers will face off for the Reservation Business Council District II (Sawyer) seat in the Fond du Lac Reservation general election in June.

Brad (Raff) Blacketter, with 52 votes, and Naomi Northrup, with 49, were the top two vote getters in the April 5 primary, edging out incumbent Bruce M. Savage, who had 47 votes. Other candidates included Daniel LaPrairie with 25 votes and Michael Diver with 14.

Out of 402 eligible voters, 121 voted in person and 66 voted absentee, or 46.5 percent total.

The regular election is set for June 14.

Because there are only two candidates for Secretary-Treasurer — Ferdinand Martineau (incumbent) and Robert Abramowski — there was no primary election for that position, also up for election June 14.
