Last weekend, the Wood City Quilters had a retreat at the Perch Lake town hall, where members worked on service projects for the community. They sewed pillowcases for area hospital pediatric units, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and treatment centers. Chemotherapy cushions were made for the oncology unit at St. Luke's. Walker bags will go to the residents of Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet.
