Obituary: Logan Allen Ward

Logan Allen Ward was a beloved son, brother, and nephew who left this world suddenly and tragically on Aug. 24, 2022 at age 15. His gentle heart and quiet presence will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

Logan was born on Aug. 17, 2007, in Duluth, Minnesota to Whitney Hanson and Shane Ward.

He attended South Range Elementary and Jedlicka Middle School in Proctor.

Logan loved hunting and the outdoors. He enjoyed video games, antique toys and comic book collecting. Logan had a gift for putting together his Legos

Logan was preceded in death by his great grandpas, Robert Ward and Wayne Wenneson; great aunt, Leslie Schermerhorn; great uncle, Stanley Wenneson.

He is survived by his heartbroken family. Logan is survived by his mother, Whitney Hanson; father, Shane Ward; maternal grandparents, Cindy and Pete Hanson; paternal grandparents, Mark and Sue Groth; paternal grandpa, Russell Ward; paternal great-grandma, Olga Wenneson, paternal great-grandma, Charlotte Ward, brothers, Michael and Kaiser and Gavin; and sisters, Savannah and Kiahna. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service on Monday, Sept. 12, at Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Due to construction on 14th Street, please use the temporary entrance off 12th Street. A luncheon will follow in the Fireside room of the funeral home.
