Carol Arlene Trevena, 86, of Esko passed away peacefully with family by her side Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, in Sunnyside Health Care Center, Cloquet. Carol was born Dec. 20, 1935, in Esko to Eli and Alvina (Randa) Juntti. She attended Lincoln High School in Esko. On Aug. 25, 1956, Carol married Clifford Trevena in Esko. She was a homemaker, and worked hard to take care of her home and family until she retired.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clifford Trevena; grandson Trevor Trevena; brother Jimmy Juntti; and sisters Verna Baisley and Gladys Wray.
She will be greatly missed by her sons Carey (Terry) Trevena and Curt Trevena; daughters Cindy (Rick) Aho and Carolyn Trevena; granddaughters Elizabeth (Billy) Runke, Hannah (Brandon) Luech and Abigail (Dylan) Knox; grandson James Sutherland; and great-grandchildren Conor Knox, Addilyn Knox, Beckett Luech, Emery Luech and Eliana Luech.
Visitation: 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 17 in St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 4 Elizabeth Ave., Esko. A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery, Thomson Township. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet.
