John Leonard "Jack" Frost

John Leonard "Jack" Frost, 87, of Esko went home to be with His Lord and Savior on April 12, 2023. Jack was born on April 2, 1936, in Virginia, Minnesota to Edward and Gladys Frost.

After graduating from high school, Jack was united in marriage to Alyce Larson. Jack served four years in the U.S. Army, and retired from the Georgia-Pacific Superwood plant in Duluth after 32 years. Jack and Alyce enjoyed traveling with the Sky Pilots Gospel team as well as ministering to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin with sermons and Gospel music with his accordion.

He is survived by his brother, Russell (Sherry) Frost, of Maiden Rock, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Lillian (Bill) Rovick of Minneapolis; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Alyce, on Feb. 28, 2023; infant children, Kristal Kay, in 1959 and Carmyn Lynn, in 1961; and five siblings.

Visitation: 3 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service on Friday, April 21 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Burial will be at a future date in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery near Denham in Pine County.

Alyce Elaine Frost

Alyce Elaine Frost, 90, of Esko went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023.

Alyce was born on May 8, 1932, in Birch Creek Township, Denham, Minnesota, to Leonard and Marie (Olson) Larson. After graduating from high school, she was united in marriage to John "Jack" Frost. She accompanied her husband in Christian services in Minnesota and Wisconsin and they traveled with the Sky Pilots Gospel team. She was a secretary for RAM Mutual Insurance Company in Esko for 33 years until retiring.

Alyce is survived by her sister, Lillian (Bill) Rovick, of Minneapolis; and nephew, Mark (Amy) Rovick, of Wisconsin.

Her loving husband, Jack Frost, died on April 12, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant children, Kristal Kay, in 1959 and Carmyn Lynn, in 1961; brother, Milton Larson; and niece, Tina, in 2022.

Visitation: 3 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service on Friday, April 21 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Burial will be at a future date in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery near Denham in Pine County.
