Jen Pelofske and Jay Marvel built a boat plied with Pine Knot News newspapers for the annual "Build Your Own Boat Race" at the Pequaywan Inn north of Duluth. Jen reported it was seaworthy as couples raced on Pequaywan Lake on July 1. "You were front and center on the River Queen," Jen told us. It was apropos that some of the newspapers had the "Rolling on the river" headline. Indeed.
