Cloquet U17 soccer girls are state champs

On July 16 the Cloquet U17 girls beat Cambridge/Isanti 4-0 to win the MYSA Summer State Championship at the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph. They played four games, opening with a 1-1 tie against Sartell, and then beating Central Minnesota, 11-0, and St. Peter, 2-1, before entering the championship game. Their regular season record was 9-0. The U14 girls went 1-2 on the weekend and the U16 girls team placed third.
