Jessie Waldorf, right, has operated CreativEdge with the help of Katie Bottila for the past six years. They recently welcomed artist Billy Anderson to the team.

CreativEdge opened in downtown Carlton in 2017 when Jessie Waldorf, with the support of her husband, Joe, jumped from being employed as a full-time graphic artist for more than 15 years to beginning an adventure as a business owner. After starting out as a design studio, CreativEdge has evolved into a full-service print shop offering graphic design, print services, apparel decorating, promotional products and creative workshops. With her knowledge and experience in the design and printing industry, Jessie provides clients with great service and quality printed products.

"Being involved start to finish is key in providing our clients with the best possible service," Jessie said. "Providing friendly service and getting to know our clients helps us bring their concept to reality."

Jessie has operated CreativEdge with the help of Katie Bottila for the past six years. They enjoy working with other area businesses and organizations to create logos, brochures, business cards, apparel and so much more to promote their brand.

"Helping other small businesses grow keeps us and the community going," she added.

Jessie and Katie have created countless projects and held a variety of workshops. And with the recent closure of The Northern Printery, they are excited to welcome artist Billy Anderson to the team! Billy's artistic skills and printing knowledge will be a great addition to serving past, current and future clients.

CreativEdge continues to grow and look for new ways to serve clients. Their printing is top-notch, with the recent addition of a full-color digital press. They're now working with many area artists to create calendars, prints and cards that showcase their artwork with accurate color reproduction and a crisp print. Sublimation printing allows CreativEdge to create full-color printed apparel and drinkware in quantities that meet their customers' needs.

"Next on the list, we will be providing laser engraving services this spring," Jessie said. "This will expand our current drinkware, gifts, trophy and award capabilities, and add many new promotional products that we can create in-house."

CreativEdge is your local shop for custom apparel. Decorating services include screen-printed sublimation and embroidery, whether for one or 1000-plus items. And the store is stocked with Carlton/Wrenshall Raptors hoodies, short- and long-sleeve T-shirts, hats and beanies for fans of all ages to show their support for their players.

The winter/spring lineup of creative workshops includes clay building, ceramics and acrylic paintings. Book a seat online, or stop in and sign up. Workshops are also available as private events, such as kids' birthday parties, ladies' night out, couples parties and more.

"Supporting the community and giving back is important to us," said Jessie, noting that CreativEdge offers fundraising opportunities to local athletic programs and clubs. "We love to take part in community events and promote our clients' services."

Finally, Jessie shared that word of mouth can be one of the most powerful types of advertising.

"We would like to send a huge thank you to all our customers who have continued to refer us to others. Thanks for keeping it local."
