The Section 7A girls hockey tournament will kick off next Tuesday at various rinks across northern Minnesota. According to the current QRF rankings, if the tournament were to start today the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers would grab the No. 1 seed and Proctor-Hermantown would be No. 2, followed by CEC and Moose Lake Area at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. CEC still has two regular season games left and MLA has one game remaining, which could change seedings before Sunday, when the brackets will be completed. If nothing changes, CEC would open at home against No. 6 seed North Shore and MLA would host No. 5 Hibbing/Chisholm.
