Arayah M. LaFave passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She was born
August 26, 2003, in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Micheal LaFave and
Jodie Houle. Arayah grew up in Sawyer and attended Cloquet public school.
She played basketball in high school and was involved in gymnastics. Arayah
was an amazing person and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a caring
and kind person and had a very social and outgoing personality. Arayah loved
hair and makeup, fashion and design, arts and crafts, and camping. She had
future plans for traveling.
Arayah was preceded in death by her aunts, Jessica and Jamey Houle. She is
survived and will be deeply missed by her parents, Jodie Houle and Micheal
(Ashley) LaFave; brothers, Micheal and David LaFave; sisters, Samantha
Greensky, Anarae King, and Coral McKell; grandparents, Charles and Peggy
Houle, Toni and John LaFave, and Richard and Jody LaFave; and many aunts,
uncles, cousins, and extended relatives.
Service for Arayah will be held Wednesday, May 1, at the Cloquet
Community Center, 1720 Big Lake Road, with a visitation beginning at 10
a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service led by Pastor Bill Sutter. The
pallbearers are Son Houle Jr., Curtis Houle, Austin Reynolds, Jake Mattson,
Cord Houle and Mike Thunder. Burial will follow at the New Holy Family
Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
