This photo of Pinehurst Park shows a May Day celebration on the softball field in the 1920s or 1930s. The large covered stands gave people a great view of the frequent softball games at the park and other events. The large building in the background served as an indoor space for weekly roller skating "dances" that drew hundreds of kids along with other community gatherings.
