Ryan Weller pitched the Bombers to the win by giving up just three earned runs in 6 1/3 innings of work in Barnum on Thursday. Weller picked up seven strikeouts in the win on the mound. Colton Porter, Jacob Hultgren, Isaac Golen and Dawson Sample all had two hits with Sample adding three RBIs.

Kaden Crane continued his hot pitching streak by shutting down the Vikings and allowing seven hits while striking out six in the win. The Bulldogs trailed entering the bottom of the sixth inning at Chub Lake Park and then rallied to score three times to take the lead and eventually the win. Tanner Anderson had a double among his three hits along with an RBI, and Kaleb Siiter scored two runs for the winners.

Nick Baker was impressive on the pitching mound for Cloquet by going all seven innings and allowing just two Proctor hits while picking up four strikeouts. Baker also added a pair of hits including a double to back his own cause.

Cloquet wasn’t as fortunate against the Spartans as they managed just three hits as they were shut out by Spartan starter Derek Fender.

Jordan Fjosne pitched four innings and gave up two hits to garner the victory on the mound for the Rebels. Offensively, Henry Ribich was 3 for 3 for the Rebels with two RBIs and two runs scored. Blake Juhl added a double and two runs scored while Ethan Burton doubled and had an RBI.

Andrew Silverio threw a three-hitter for the Wrens and struck out five in the complete game win. Silverio also was impressive at the plate with three hits, including a double and a home run and a pair of RBIs. Wyatt Kelley chipped in with two hits and three RBIs and Randy Wimmer added two hits and two runs scored for Wrenshall.

The Agates could not match the firepower of the vaunted Esko offense, which had five hitters who had three hits in the game and two other hitters who had a pair of hits. Preston Lowe, James LeGarde, Dawson Hoffman, Mason Vinje and Hunter Sunde all had three hits and Sunde also picked up the pitching win.

Logan Overdahl and Logan Privette each had two hits for the Rebels. Overdahl smashed out a pair of doubles and picked up four RBIs, while Privette added a triple, four runs scored and an RBI. Winning pitcher Cooper Bexel helped on offense as well by scoring two runs and picking up three RBIs. Henry Ribich added two runs scored and two RBIs and Carter Johnson doubled and had an RBI.

The Bulldogs handed the Class AA Blue Devils a big loss on Thursday as Brynne Mickle pitched seven innings of six-hit ball without walking a batter and striking out two in picking up the win. Mickle aided her own cause with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate with three runs scored, a triple and an RBI. Taylor Nelson added a double and a triple along with a pair of runs scored and an RBI. Alaina Bennett had two hits, including a triple and two RBIs and three runs scored. Rounding out the offense for the Bulldogs was Abby Mickle, who smacked out three hits, including a double; she had three RBIs and three runs scored.

The Eskomos hit the road for a big win over Class AAA Hibbing on Thursday.

The Lumberjacks got a strong pitching performance from senior Josie Steen who gave up just two hits to the Hunters — who had beaten Hermantown the day before their loss to Cloquet. Dana Jones led off the bottom of the first inning with a triple as the Lumberjacks built an early 2-0 lead after one inning of play. Kiana Bender added three RBIs and Olivia Diver had two hits for the ’Jacks, who nabbed the top seed in the upcoming Section 7AAA playoffs.

Mendota Castonguay did not give up an earned run on three hits and she fanned 10 Wrens to pick up the pitching win. Lacie O’Leary led the offense with three hits, three stolen bases and three runs scored. Castonguay also doubled and had two hits at the plate. Jessica Stevens contributed a pair of hits, two runs and two RBIs for the winners. Jordyn Seehus picked up two of Wrenshall’s three hits in the game.

The Rebels pitching duo of Lilli Skelton and Sarah Christy handled the Class A eighth-ranked Tigers on Friday night. Skelton pitched the first 4 2/3 innings without allowing a run and Christy came in to pick up the save and preserve the win. Natalie Mikrot had a pair of hits. Dallis Kukuk had a triple and two runs scored and Gabby Gamst doubled in the win.

Cecelia Olesiak pitched a no-hitter for the Panthers in the home win by striking out five. Olesiak also added two hits and two RBIs for South Ridge. Hailey Chandler finished with two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

The Eskomos struggled to get on base against Hawks pitcher Alana Mayry, who allowed only five hits in the 10-run Hermantown victory. Both Dea DeLeon and Kristy DeMuth had two hits each for the Eskomos.

The Bombers used an impressive hitting attack to down the Polar Bears in Floodwood. Katelyn Buell pounded out three hits, including a double and a pair of RBIs. Lacie O’Leary added two hits with a triple and two runs scored. Mallory Agurkis also had two hits and three runs scored for the Bombers.
