• Thank you to the staff and students who made the entire day possible.

Several area women attended “A Day at the College” at the College of St. Scholastica last week. This is an annual event that is sponsored by CSS and is always interesting, educational and entertaining. They always serve a lovely lunch.

The Bethlehem fall Christmas bazaar is soon approaching, so please look for gently used or new Christmas items to donate to the cause. The bazaar is Dec. 14, and items can be brought to the church anytime now. Plans are also in the works for a women’s get-together during the Christmas season. Ideas, anyone?

Yarn wanted: There is a need for yarn. If you have any to donate, please drop it off the church or give me a call at 218-357-2385 and I’ll pick it up.

I have more copies of the Perk Peterson book, so if you are interested, please give me a call and I will find a way to get one to you. They will also be available at the Cromwell Area History Club and hopefully at the RedBird Craft Sale Nov. 9 at the school. Even if you never knew the Peterson family, the stories are incredible, and they really reflect our area over the last 100 years or more.

The coffee is always on at Bethany 8:30-10 a.m. Mondays, for those interested in joining the conversation.

That’s all the news from the Edge of Wright. Enjoy the baseball playoffs and upcoming World Series.
