Volunteers for the 2019 Thanksgiving Dinner put together meals to be delivered in the VFW kitchen.

The annual Thanksgiving meal in Cloquet is a go ... or rather a "to-go" socially distanced meal because of the pandemic.

This year the Carlton County community meal - sponsored by Chapter 18 of the Disabled American Veterans and the Auxiliary - will be shared via curbside pickup at the Cloquet VFW from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or via delivery between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day,

Nov. 26.

To order a meal to be delivered or to pick up, call 218-590-4027 by Nov. 24 and leave a message with your name and phone number.

The Duluth Thanksgiving dinner organized by the College of St. Scholastica each year will also forgo in-person dining due to the pandemic. But the college and its partners will continue with home delivery of meals on Thanksgiving Day as well as limited frozen meal kits in advance for people living in Duluth, Superior, Proctor, Hermantown, Esko, Cloquet and Two Harbors.

All meal kit deliveries will be made between 3:30 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 19. Online reservations are preferred; the reservation form, as well as the opportunity to sponsor a family in need, is at css.edu/administration/thanksgiving-day-buffet. Anyone without access to a computer can call 218-723-6484 to order.
