Obituary: Korryn Elizabeth Lee Sorenson-Brock

Korryn Sorenson-Brock, 22, of Cloquet, passed away Jan. 29, 2022. She was born Jan. 13, 2000, in Edina, the daughter of Kenneth and Kerrie (Rice) Sorenson. Korryn lived in Andover until she was 5 and then moved to Cloquet.

Growing up, Korryn played hockey for Lumberjacks hockey teams. She enjoyed making YouTube videos with Jackson and Nick, family trips with the Sorensons to Arizona, road trips with friends and her brother Konner.

Korryn was proud to receive her high school diploma in 2019. She enjoyed working in the mental health field because of her compassionate nature.

On Dec. 7, 2021, Korryn married Aric Brock.

She enjoyed baking, especially tiramisu mooncake, and trying new recipes. Korryn enjoyed beading and arts. She also showed her beautiful individuality through her many tattoos.

Korryn struggled with addiction and not long ago celebrated six months of sobriety. She (as well as everyone who loved her) was very proud of this. Sadly, the demons sometimes are stronger than you can fight.

Korryn will be missed by many friends and family with lots of wonderful memories to share until we meet her again.

She is survived by her husband, Aric Brock; mother, Kerrie Sorenson; siblings, Tyler (Erica) Phelps, Tennille (Kyle) Olson, Konner Sorenson, and Jayme (Tom) Lunde; nieces, Kennedy and Phoebe Phelps, Georgi and Lulu Olson, and Luella Lunde; nephew, Luca Lunde; grandma, Cathy Diver; grandpa, Wayne Rice; grandparents, Curt and Karen Sorenson; uncles, David Rice and Dan Sorenson; aunts, Kimberly (Brian) Anderson and Muriel Matuzak; cousins, Catie, Kerrissa, Hayden, Maddi, Tanner, Kaden, Dawson, Kazden and Maxwill; special friends, Jackson Buscher, Nick Kiehn, Steph Russell and Sophie Krikava; and Frankie, her beloved cat.
