Congratulations to Noah Foster, Nathan Eliason, Dylan Nyberg, Sascha Korpela and Andrea Pocernich for being selected to play in the April 4 all-star basketball game in Two Harbors.

Congratulations to Emaleigh Olesiak for receiving an “Excellent” rating for her flute solo recently at the state music contest. Congratulations also to Megan Smith for receiving an Excellent for her solo; to Alaina Lind, Andrea Pocernich, Augustas Poskus, Michael Zoeller, Aurora Gervais, Silvia Serban and Grace Swenson for receiving Superior ratings for their solos; to Alaina and Andrea, Andrea and Silvia, Aurora and Nick Switzer and Augustas and Andrea for receiving Superior ratings on their duets; and to Cameron Johnson, Max Hanni, Nick Switzer, Michael Zoeller, Augustas Poskus and Johnathon Schiller for receiving superior marks for their ensemble piece. Finally, congratulations again to Augustas for receiving perfect scores for both his vocal solo and his guitar solo. Your hard work, dedication and music ability really showed, and you represented yourselves and your school exceptionally well!

Our elementary school needs new or gently used tops and bottoms. Currently, they need only these sizes: 4T and 5T tops and bottoms for boys and girls, 6-8 and 12-14 bottoms for boys; 10-12 tops for girls; and 8-10 bottoms for girls. Feel free to drop them off at the school office.

Ruby’s Pantry will visit the Cromwell Park Pavilion 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 14.

Thanks to the Bethany Beacons for hosting the Ladies’ Springtime Soul Rejuvenation at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell last Saturday. The event was well attended and received. The program, food and fellowship were great.

Kindergarten Roundup is 8:45-10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8 the Cromwell-Wright School. Information packets were sent to all families with children turning 5 on or before Sept. 1. If you did not receive one, or would like to attend, please contact the school office, 644-3737, option 0.

The Arrowhead Bookmobile will be in the vicinity of the post office in Wright 1-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, May 3 and 24, and June 14.

The Young Old Timers will meet at 12 p.m. April 12 for their Easter dinner and program. New members or visitors are always welcome at YOT.

The residents and staff of the Villa Vista/Cardinal Court will be holding a Good Friday worship service at 9 a.m. Friday, April 15 at the care center. Friends and relatives as well as the public are welcome to attend.

My husband, Bob, was transferred to The North Shore Estates on Tuesday after a stay in the hospital in Cloquet. We are hoping for successful rehab and his safe return home in a few weeks. The North Shore Estates is at 7700 Grand Ave., Duluth MN 55807.
