It’s only the first week of autumn and we are already planning events for November and December. So, you can start saving your new and or gently used Christmas items for Bethlehem Lutheran Church’s annual bazaar, brunch and bake sale on Dec. 10.

A local candidate informed me that voters who donate to candidates registered with Minnesota’s political contribution refund program can apply for a refund of up to $50 per person or $100 per couple by sending in a receipt and a special form signed by the recipient. Only six weeks now until the midterm election.

Yoga at the Cromwell Pavilion is 11 a.m. to noon Mondays. The $3 entry covers city rental. Gear provided. Questions, call Ann Markusen at 218-428-3300.

Beanie Randa, manager of the Clothing Depot in Cromwell, says they cannot accept any large donations (think: truckloads) at this time. The storage room and shed are full. Smaller bags and boxes are welcome.

Confirmation classes for Bethlehem and Bethany Lutheran churches will begin in October. Please call 218-644-3640 for more information or to sign up your students. All area students in seventh grade and up are welcome to attend.

The junior class will be selling Butter Braids through Oct. 10. Please reach out to any junior or the office if you are interested in purchasing any. Money raised will be going to fund prom 2023.

Oct. 20, and there will be no school Oct. 20 and 21.

Fall is in the air, and we are looking forward to seeing you at our Red Bird Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cromwell-Wright School. Admission: $1, free for kids age 12 and under. This is a fundraiser for our Cromwell-Wright student council. Lunch will be served by our local Dollars for Scholars chapter, which offers scholarships to our graduating seniors each year. Please come and do some shopping, enjoy a delicious lunch, and support these worthy causes. Registrations have been emailed and will also be mailed.
