County offers free drive-thru vaccine clinics

Carlton County Public Health and Human Services will be offering two drive-through vaccination clinics in October. In addition to the new Covid-19 vaccine booster shot, the county will offer a standard flu shot for ages 6 months and older, and a high-dose flu shot for ages 65 and older, as well as a FluMist shot as long as supplies last.

The Covid shots are available for anyone 12 years old or older who has completed the primary vaccine series and hasn’t had a Covid shot in the past two months.

The first clinic will be held 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Carlton County Transportation Building, 1630 County Road 61. The second is 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Barnum Transportation Building, 3888 County Road 61.

Pre-registration is required. Go to co.carlton.mn.us and click on the Covid-19 Hub to locate links for the clinics. No internet? Call Carlton County Public Health at 218-879-4511.
