Senja Hildegard Hilton, 95, of Brookston passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, in her home. She was born on Aug. 25, 1927, in Cloquet to Selium and Helmi Granholm. She grew up in Cloquet and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School. On Nov. 16, 1946, Senja married Carl Wilfred Hilton in Cloquet.

Senja retired from Diamond Brands in Cloquet after 40 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; grandson Donny; granddaughter Lorretta; daughters-in-law Denise Hilton, Linda Hilton and Barbara Henderson; and three brothers.

Senja is survived by her children, Dwayne (Cindy), Wilfred (Gloria), Darlene (Wally) Steinback, Steve (Barbara) and Kevan (Mary); 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Senja was an outstanding mother and will be deeply missed by her family.

Visitation: 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 7 in Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. A luncheon will follow in the fireside room of the funeral home.
