Friends fundraise for soldier's family

If you're wondering about the military jets flying over Cloquet this week, they may be honoring one of their own. Noah Feehan, a master sergeant in the Air National Guard who spent 18 years as a jet aircraft technician, was in hospice care and has now died after a two-year battle with brain cancer likely caused by exposure to toxic burn pits during deployment overseas.

Feehan was featured in the Pine Knot News last fall as part of a story by Public Health Watch about military members or veterans with glioblastoma likely caused by exposure to toxic waste. He was honored by Cloquet High School at halftime of the homecoming football game. Feehan's cousin has started a fundraiser to help the family with living expenses.
