Our sympathies to the family of 22-year-old Brock Hascall of Wright, who died when his car was hit by a train on Sept. 9. The collision occurred about 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Lammi Road and Minnesota Highway 210 in Sawyer Township, according to the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office. Here is what his family shared on Facebook: “To say we are all devastated is an understatement, however, we now know exactly how many people he touched in his short time here on earth. The outpouring of messages, phone calls, and posts are being seen by all of us. It just reaffirms to us exactly what we already knew about Brock. As we begin to navigate this oh-so-familiar journey of grief again, we would like to express our appreciation to everyone. The world lost a beautiful soul who meant the world to us.”
