Timothy Frederick Hansen, 69, of Cloquet passed away at home Sunday Oct. 8, 2023. He was born on Nov. 17, 1953, to Wilbur and Loretta (Glidden) Hansen in Duluth. He graduated from Central High School and received an associate degree from Lake Superior College in Duluth.

Tim served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years. He retired honorably as a Master Sergeant and recently joined the Cloquet DAV.

In 1997, Tim was married to his high school sweetheart, Jackie Schiltz. Together they made their home in Cloquet. Tim loved cooking, fishing, and spending summers at Leech Lake. He was an avid bowler and a master at roller skating.

Tim is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Hansen of Cloquet; children, James T. (Merry) Hansen of Superior, Kerri Higgins of Duluth, Brett (Kristin) Reinsch of Cloquet, and Kim (Kevin) Chick of Duluth; grandchildren, Johnna, Taya, Tomi Lynn, Cooper, Emma, Owen and Evelyn; great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Amara, Conoco, Kinsley, and one expected in April 2024; siblings William (Carol) Hansen and twin brother Thomas (Cathy) Hansen; brother-in-law, Michael (Mary) Schiltz; and several nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Kenneth Hansen; and many other family members.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.

Inurnment will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery-Duluth in Saginaw.
