Stella Daniele, 97, of Cloquet passed away on Dec. 10, 2023, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. She was born July 6, 1926, in Piminoro, Italy to Joseph and Josephine Mammone. In 1948, Stella was married to Bruno Daniele in Italy. They shared 18 months of marriage prior to his death. At age 53, Stella relocated to the USA and settled in Hibbing with her brother Joseph and his family. She became a member of the First Assembly Church in Hibbing and was very active in her congregation and was always willing to help in any capacity she could.
Following the passing of her brother and sister-in-law, Stella relocated to Cloquet to reside with her niece in October of 2007. She became a member of the Hermantown Community Church. Throughout her life she served as a caregiver to many family members and also any stranger in need. Stella had an admirable work ethic and refined cooking and gardening skills and enjoyed sewing.
Stella is survived by her brother Bruno Mammone; nieces and nephews, Santina (Michael) Laurienzo, Antoinette Anderson, Domenic (Francesca) Barbaro, Bruno Barbaro, and Stella (John) Barbaro; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings Joseph (Mary Grace) Barbaro, Nunziata and Natalina.
Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Hermantown Community Church. A luncheon will follow. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec.18, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Care.
