John A. Swierceski, 83, of Cloquet passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at Hilltop Healthcare in Duluth. He was born Sept. 30, 1940, the son of Anthony and Marjorie (Pekula) Swierceski.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thais (Holmes) Swierceski; brother, William Swierceski, and a sister, Judy Swierceski.

He is survived by his children, Trevin Swierceski, Tawnie (Abram) Berens, Heidi (Tim Johnson) Maki, and Mary Swierceski; grandchildren, Morgan Maki and Torey Maki; and sisters Debra (Norm) Klocke and Patricia Swierceski.

The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the Willows Unit at Hilltop Healthcare and St. Croix Hospice for the excellent care given to John.

A private family graveside service will be held in the spring at Old Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet. Arrangements are entrusted to Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.
