Obituary: Olga M. Wenneson

Olga M. Wenneson, age 84, of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Diamond Willow. She was born November 28, 1939, in Bagley, Minnesota, the daughter of Oliver and Edith (Lietz) Swenson. Olga was a homemaker until she started working for Black Bear Casino at the age of 55, retiring at the age of 70.

Olga was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Wenneson; son, Stan Wenneson; brothers, Duane Swenson, John Swenson, Carl Swenson, and Pete Swenson; sisters, Edith "Sissy" Campbell, and Florence Umphrey; and a great-grandson, Logan Ward. She is survived by children, Susan (Mark) Groth, Jeff (Donna Bryant) Wenneson and Daniel Wenneson; daughter-in-law, Maria Wenneson; grandchildren, Wayne Wenneson, Rebecca Ward, Shane Ward, Jessie (Justin) Agne, Jolene (Wesley) Larabee, Mike Wenneson, Nikki Wenneson, Jody (Danny) Softner, and Billie Wenneson; sisters, Pearl (Lester) Beck, Linda (Warren) Bogert, and Joyce (Mike) Meyers; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Zion Lutheran Church in Bagley, Minnesota. The internment service will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Bagley, Minnesota, followed with a luncheon in the church social hall. Arrangements are entrusted to Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
