Obituary: Chad Timonen

Chad Richard Timonen, 43, of Apple Valley, Minnesota, passed away at Fairview Ridges Hospital on March 28, 2024, with his family by his side.

Chad was born June 14, 1980, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and was raised in Beaver Township.

He graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1998.

Chad worked in various industries, including farming, the railroad, truck driving, logging, over-the-road heavy haul, driving tow trucks and, most recently, for Castle Rock Contracting & Tree. He was a member of the Local 49ers.

He loved snowmobiles, four-wheelers, tractors, and any kind of fuel-operated equipment. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Chad was able to make friends wherever he went and was always willing to help others. Many of his friends he considered his brothers and family.

His smile was contagious, his laugh loud, and there was no doubt it was Chad when you heard it. In his last days, Chad remained stubborn, brassy and full of humor with the family and friends who came and visited him.

Chad is survived by his two children, Justin and Ava; parents, Mike and Jay Timonen; brother Eric (Teri) Timonen and sister Rachel (Ryan) Wuollet; nieces Sydney, Ruby, Raelynn, Mallory; nephews Noah and Colton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his very best friend, Denny Jensen, and Mama Jensen.

Celebration of Life: 1 p.m. June 15 at the Beaver Township Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Beaver Evangelical Lutheran Church.
