The Bombers jumped on the back of Rayna Klejeski to an impressive 50-34 girls basketball win over the Wrens in Wrenshall on Friday night.

Barnum sprinted out to a 33-13 halftime lead and continued to feed Klejeski in the second half where she scored 14 more points in leading her team to the win.

"We just couldn't match up against Klejeski," said Wrens coach Daimen LaFave. "She was just too tough for us inside."

Klejeski nearly outscored the entire Wrenshall squad herself by finishing with 33 of the Bombers 60 points.

Liberty Bilges led the Wrens with 12 points and was the only Wrenshall player in double-digit scoring

Rounding out the scoring for Barnum were Olivia Bogenholm with seven points, Riata Klejeski with four and Kyra Heaton, Kendra Jurek, Jacinda Wright, Madison Warnygora and Cora Berger all with two points.

The Barnum girls play their last regular season game at North Woods High School Friday, March 12, while the Wrens faced Silver Bay Thursday night in Wrenshall.

Wrenshall's scheduled game Friday against the Carlton Bulldogs - for the rights to the Brown Jug - was canceled because a Carlton player tested positive for Covid. This year's rivalry game won't be rescheduled because the girls basketball playoffs start next week, Wrenshall AD Jeremy Zwickey said. It would have been the only time the neighboring teams played each other this season.
