There will be a special memorial remembrance for Siiri Peterson at Bethany in Cromwell April 11, at the 10:30 worship service. Coffee and cake will be served in the Fellowship Hall, and all are invited to pay tribute to Siiri.

It won’t be long before the hummingbirds return to our area. If you do put out feeders, remember to not use red dye in the juice you make for them. According to Birds & Blooms magazine, the red dye is very harmful to hummingbirds.

The Cromwell-Wright School office is closed for spring break, which runs through April 9. The weekly Bus Bulletin is now available on the school website. No more printed copies are being distributed.

Kindergarten roundup will be held Friday, April 23, at Cromwell-Wright School. Choose from two sessions, 8:45-10:15 a.m. or 12:45-2:15 p.m. Register by email, [email protected], or call Jayme Jordan at 644-3737, ext. 1001.

The Wright Senior Club is now open 1-4 p.m. Wednesdays. All area folks are welcome to attend. Cribbage is 6-8 p.m. Thursdays, and you do not need to be a senior citizen to join in.

Yoga meets 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Mondays at the Cromwell Pavilion. Wear comfortable clothes, come and leave masked. Masks are not necessary during the session. Yoga gear is provided. $3 each, which goes to cover rent and heating costs. Questions, call Ann Markusen at 218-428-3300.

Softball season is here, and this week’s schedule includes games at Cook County, 4 p.m. April 8; vs. Hill City 4:30 p.m. April 12; vs. Barnum 4:30 p.m. April 13; and vs. Carlton 4:30 p.m. April 15. Bring your own lawn chairs, and have face coverings in place.

The Lord’s House Church International of McGregor invites all to a grocery giveaway from 5-5:30 p.m. the last Friday of the month, April 29. The church is located at the intersection of Minnesota highways 210 and 65, next to Subway.

Cromwell Area Community Club’s roadside cleanup is Saturday, April 24. Volunteers are needed to help clean up club’s Adopt-a-Highway stretch that runs along Minnesota Highway 210 through Cromwell. Gather at the gazebo in the park next to Northview Bank at 9 a.m. to collect your vest and bags and determine which section you will pick up. Wear boots or sturdy shoes and gloves. Lunch will be provided at noon.

The club’s new member recruitment mixer will be held starting 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 5 at the Cromwell Park Pavilion. New members are needed to keep our community club thriving in the future. Come and mingle with members to find out more about the club. Look for a flyer in the mail with more details. We will have refreshments and appetizers.
