Obituary: Chuck Dale Rilea

Chuck Dale Rilea, 69, of Carlton passed away Nov. 16, 2021, in his home. He was born July 17, 1952 in Cloquet to Delwin and Elaine Rilea. He was raised in rural Barnum, where he attended high school. He married Rochelle Swanson June 30, 1973, in Sandy Lake Baptist Church.
Chuck worked for Sonny's Mileage in Carlton, Burlington Northern Railroad, Abhe & Svoboda construction 1989 to 1999 traveling the country from San Diego (during the earthquake), Oahu, Hawaii, 1991 to 1992, Michigan, Alaska, Connecticut, Seattle, Washington, and Louisville, Kentucky. He then worked for Dart Transit 2000 to 2014, where he trucked the Midwest.
He was a member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and life at the cabin.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Delwin, and brothers Monte and Todd.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle; mother, Elaine Rilea; sons, Shannon (Holly), Shane (Amber) and Chad (Jennifer); granddaughters, Paige (Zach), Kaitlyn, and Kayla; grandsons, Brennan, Trevon, Dylan, Jaykob and Justin; brothers Gene (Jennifer) Rilea and Glenn Rilea; sister, Dawn Rilea; sisters-in-law, Kim Rilea, Susan Karp and Teresa Swanson; brothers-in-law, Darrell Swanson and Mitchell (Julie) Swanson; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 20 in Atkins Northland Funeral Home Chapel, 801 14th St., Cloquet.
