The Carlton County Senior Health Fair is coming next Saturday, Oct. 22, and will provide education, screenings, visits with vendors 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church,
4 Elizabeth Ave. in Esko.
Free for adults 50 and older, the fair will offer flu shots, answer wound questions, and provide medication reviews and balance assessment, female heel bone density, blood pressure and memory screening; glucose and cholesterol screening will also be offered, for which fasting in the morning is recommended. Free lunch is included, and various vendors and authors will be on hand, and art will be on display as well.
Two workshops will be offered:
At 9:30 a.m., “Healthy Healing” will be presented by Elizabeth Johnson, director of the CMH Advanced Wound Clinic;
At 10:45 a.m., “Senior Living In This Stage Of Covid” will be presented by Ali Randall, Carlton County public health educator.
