A visitation for Beth Lynn Heide, 55, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, was held Jan. 30, 2023, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in the summer of 2023. Beth passed away on Jan. 24, at her home in Spirit Lake.
She was born in Carlton, Minnesota on March 10, 1967. She went to Cloquet High School, where she was a great athlete and excelled in swimming, holding a record for almost 20 years. She loved the outdoors, cross country skiing and biking.
Beth was a loving mother to her son, Nathan. She moved to Spirit Lake in 1992, where she eventually found her soulmate, Glen Heide. They married on Oct. 8, 1994. They took their first of many Caribbean trips to Jamaica. She enjoyed exploring new places, spending time with her family, and motorcycle riding with her husband. She traveled to all but one state in the Lower 48 by motorcycle. She enjoyed spaghetti night with her husband and family, followed by her favorite, chocolate. She was the best Mimi to her granddaughter, Evelynn, whom she loved more than one could imagine.
Those who knew Beth knew how full of life she truly was. She was the life of every party and found the good in all situations and circumstances. Her saying, "It's all good," guided her throughout life. She loved unconditionally and expected nothing in return, always putting others before herself.
Beth worked various jobs throughout the Great Lakes Region, many involving working with the public. Most would know her for her big smile and ability to complete the task. She enjoyed getting to know each of her customers.
Beth is survived by her husband, Glen; their son, Nathan, and his wife, Liz; a beautiful granddaughter, Evelynn; and her mom, four brothers, and two sisters.
Turner Jenness Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
