Leonard Edward Lind, 77, of Barnum passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, in Essentia Health Hospital in Moose Lake. He was born on Oct. 4, 1945, in Carlton to Paul and Alice Lind. Once Leonard graduated from high school, he joined the U.S. Army in 1965. Leonard was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Combat Infantry Badge, 1st Award; two Overseas Service bars; Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device (1960); Marksman marksmanship qualification badge with Rifle bar (M-14); and First Class Gunner Badge (M-60 machine gun) for his service. After the Army, Leonard was a truck driver until he retired.

Leonard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and four-wheeling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Paul Lind Jr. and Dave Lind; and sisters, Clarice Beise and Phyllis Ashmore.

He is survived by his brother, Steve Lind; and special friend, Linda Werner.

Per Leonard's request there will be no services at this time. Burial will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery with honors at a later date.
