Cultural preservation specialist Marne Kaesk covers the history of subsistence harvest, cultural preservation through treaty rights, and an application through the history of the 1854 Treaty Authority organization. 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Cloquet library.

Create your own leather bracelet with Minnesota artist Jen Anfinson, 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, Cloquet Public Library. All materials provided for this 90-minute, hands-on program. Geared toward adults and teens age 13 and up. This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Book signing with Mary Alice Carlson, award-winning Mahtowa author of “Under the Pine Boughs — Short Stories of Homespun Living,” 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Carlton County Senior Health Fair, St. Matthews, Esko.

Harvest Bazaar 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, Zion Lutheran Church. Quilt sale, bake sale, jams, candy, fresh vegetables, plants, holiday gift and craft items for sale. Silent auction. Krumkake and lefse demonstrations. Coffee, muffins and juice offered 9-11 a.m., sloppy jo lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
