In front of a raucous crowd of competing student sections, the host Cloquet volleyball team defeated Esko on Tuesday, 3-0. Last week the Carlton/Wrenshall Raptors football team had to take a week off due to Covid restrictions and was unable to play their scheduled game with South Ridge. Teenage lacrosse players in Carlton County are getting a chance to play this fall after the Covid-19 pandemic shut down not only the burgeoning youth league but also any headway in the game taking hold at area high schools.
